In general, quoting or not, it's best to just leave mailing list spam alone,
or send an off-list message to the list moderator. Replying just compounds
the problem.
But, either way, let's keep to a friendly welcoming tone for new users and
old.
Yes, there was one innocuous item of spam which I filtered and more
than a dozen comments. I find the comments more annoying ...
