I bought the F17 DVD from OSDISC.com whose disks have always worked before. But the one they sent me did not boot into the installer. So while waiting for a replacement I came up with the following scheme to install F17. I booted the F16 DVD up to the point where is starts the check the medium. Then I switched the DVDs so the F17 DVD would be checked. It checked out fine. After the check it jumped to the expected GUI to choose a language.
So now the question. If I continue with the install using the F17 DVD will it successfully boot as F17? I am going to try this tomorrow but I will not waste my time if someone has a good reason to think this will not succeed. -- ======================================================================= Boling's postulate: If you're feeling good, don't worry.
