Yes, pen drives. Those work. Odd. I have in /etc/fstab /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto rw,sync,user,noauto,nosuid,exec,nodev 0 0 After all these years (my first Linux was Caldera in 1999) I find it mind-blowing that mounting devices is still the same mess as usual when every other modern OS detects and mounts devices automagically....
