(FYI, worked for me. Btw: gcc is only needed if you want to compile
chkfontpath from sources yourself, ignore if you're using the rpm I've
built myself -FC)

/* original chkfontpath source RPM at wget
http://dl.atrpms.net/all/chkfontpath-1.10.1-2.src.rpm */
--begin--
yum install wget cabextract ttmkfdir rpm-build* gcc popt popt-devel
libFS xorg-x11-xfs
yum install
'https://sites.google.com/site/fcassiasoftware/chkfontpath-1.10.1-2.fc17.i386.rpm?attredirects=0&d=1'
wget http://fenris02.fedorapeople.org/msttcore-fonts-2.0-6.spec
rpmbuild -bb ./msttcore-fonts-2.0-6.spec
rpm -Uvh /root/rpmbuild/RPMS/noarch/msttcore-fonts-2.0-6.noarch.rpm
--end--

Result:

Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
