Anyone know why the wireless performance is not better than this?

Because wireless sucks?.

Your other hardware specs don´t matter. Speed will be as good as the
worst piece of string. In that setup, it´s your wireless link.

Just to test, connect the two systems with a crossover cat5e cable and
compare...

I suggest you use Kai Uwe Rommel´s NetIO

FC

PS: Really, get your home wired with cat5e or cat6 (best).
I run gigabit ethernet over cat5e since 2004 and haven´t looked back since.

I have never even tried wireless, but I'm starting to sound like some old toothless coot. <cackles> Ric
