Thanks. It did not help, or did not change anything:
ls -l symersky
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Mar 21 19:38 symersky -> /mnt/usr/symersky
chown symersky:xray-user symersky
ls -l symersky
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Mar 21 19:38 symersky -> /mnt/usr/symersky
I guess the link is okay as long as it has rwx permissions for all.

Should this be root:root? I think usually it is $USER:$USER. Maybe a
simple chown on the link will do the trick?
