I can't save, or even access, a file to nfs with Libreoffice

I can deal with files on this computer and transfer stuff via
sftp, etc. Can copy the calc data file from another computer to
calc here but can't copy/save calc to nfs!

LO Writer works normally with nfs files. Everything on the nfs
saver looks normal, just calc refuses to have anything to do
        with files there.

Am I the only one having a problem with this?

This sounds like the same "nfs read-only" bug that has been filed...

Try editing /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice so you have

# file locking now enabled by default
# SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING=1

And restart your office app...

Yes, that was the problem and I knew immediately upon
reading your message that I had done that change before and
           it was in my notes.

The file name is now: /usr/lib64/libreoffice/program/soffice

Another problem fixed despite my incipient altzheimers.

           Thanks Ed.
