Hi Jeff,

I never had problems with NetworkManager before, I really like it, and I do use
it a lot for 3G internet connections and VPN, besides alternating between wired
and wireless depending on where I am. So far it looks my best approach is to
force fallback mode and wait for the next updates. Fallback mode seems better
than Xfce when working with dual monitors (on a netbook? for classes and
presentations!)
