I installed from both the Alpha and Beta DVDs and this didn't happen, but when I installed from the Fedora 16 release DVD, I got essentially the same screen I reported back in fedora 13 in: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=574120
It lists all the disks by model numbers and asks me to sort through them and decide which ones I want to include as possibly being a device I might want to install on. No one could know! Less than 1/10000th of 1% of people are going to have the model numbers of their disks memorized.
