Note if you are using F16 there is a glibc bug affecting group permission.
(I have a problem with nut not showing up in the dialout group even though
it is in that group.) Currently there is a glibc update in testing that
fixes that issue but breaks other things. So it probably won't get pushed
to updates/stable right away.
