I agree. That's an interesting question. I did a little poking around on: http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd and didn't see anything that jumped out. Maybe there's a way to get more information via /etc/systemd/system.conf and /etc/rsyslog.conf. I'll have to research that.
