Its a good idea to use UID sets >= 1000. Everything based on Debian
considered <= 999 to be reserved as per policy:
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-opersys.html#s9.2.2
So this means anything you ever touch that is Debian based most likely
considers UID 500 to be within the dynamically allocated system UID
range.
