Linux isn't Unix. Management? Who's that? FOSS "management" mostly falls to the developers, since they're doing the work. But regardless who you choose to identify as management, you'll probably find that they've been very supportive of systemd, mostly because it solves lots of real-world problems in an elegant way. Sure, there have been glitches (and squabbles about timing - systemd punted from F14), but again, this is a running-with-scissors distro. Personally, I'm hugely impressed with the sped-up boot and shutdown times, and the detailed reporting (did something fail?) provided by systemctl.
