Hi; I'm using xemacs under Fedora 14.
Here is the ouput of "rpm -qa | grep xemacs": xemacs-devel-21.5.29-15.fc14.i686 xemacs-common-21.5.29-15.fc14.i686 xemacs-21.5.29-15.fc14.i686 xemacs-packages-base-20100727-1.fc14.noarch xemacs-filesystem-21.5.29-15.fc14.noarch Here is the output of "rpm -qa | grep font": libfontenc-1.0.5-2.fc12.i686 libXfont-devel-1.4.2-1.fc14.i686 urw-fonts-2.4-9.fc13.noarch xorg-x11-font-utils-7.4-4.fc14.i686 dejavu-sans-mono-fonts-2.32-1.fc14.noarch dejavu-fonts-common-2.32-1.fc14.noarch xorg-x11-fonts-misc-7.2-12.fc14.noarch liberation-mono-fonts-1.06.0.20100721-3.fc14.noarch fontconfig-2.8.0-2.fc14.i686 libfontenc-devel-1.0.5-2.fc12.i686 openoffice.org-opensymbol-fonts-3.3.0-20.5.fc14.noarch dejavu-sans-fonts-2.32-1.fc14.noarch fontconfig-devel-2.8.0-2.fc14.i686 xorg-x11-fonts-ISO8859-1-75dpi-7.2-12.fc14.noarch liberation-fonts-common-1.06.0.20100721-3.fc14.noarch dejavu-serif-fonts-2.32-1.fc14.noarch liberation-serif-fonts-1.06.0.20100721-3.fc14.noarch xorg-x11-fonts-ISO8859-1-100dpi-7.2-12.fc14.noarch fontpackages-filesystem-1.44-1.fc14.noarch libXfont-1.4.2-1.fc14.i686 liberation-sans-fonts-1.06.0.20100721-3.fc14.noarch ghostscript-fonts-5.50-23.fc12.noarch I get the warning "Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion" when I invoke xemacs. What package am I missing? Or: What environment variable(s) are not set properly? I'm looking at http://tracker.xemacs.org/XEmacs/its/issue650 currently. So, when Fedora packages up the xemacs rpm files, why aren't all required fonts placed as a dependency for rpm (and yum)? Thanks, Ken Wolcott
