"Snippage" refers to trimming out (or snipping) those parts of the 
message that aren't relevant to your reply.  As an example, instead of 
quoting your entire post, including all of the quoted text, I only 
quoted the one line I was replying to.  This makes it much easier for 
people to find your reply and know what you're talking about.
