As a matter of interest, why do you want to run Fedora on it?
Is it being used as a server?

I've been running CentOS-5.6 on a Proliant ML110 G5 for a couple of years,
and it runs just fine.
I also have Fedora-14 on it as a kind of security measure,
and that runs fine too.
Neither seems to have any problem with SATA disks.
