"com1" and "com2" are Windows port names and not relevant in Linux. If you have only one USB-serial converter, the device name should be /dev/ttyUSB0 > is it possible for you to go through it and tell me the serial > port assigned to my converter ?? No, it's not visible in lsusb output.
