That looks, very much, like what I'd expect to see if I were to put in a
content protected disc.  Most commercial discs protect their content in
one way or another, or multiple (CSS, Macrovision, or otherwise
deliberately out-of-specification discs).

How to play them is a FAQ.  Look at RPMfusion.org, for one solution.
