As noted above, I have 3D effects, should I ever find any joy at all in 
wobbling 
windows, I can have them, the cube effect is a bit interesting, but hardly a 
reason to use a driver which is otherwise slow.

IIRC the vendor driver gave me ~600fps under my previous Fedora release, and 
the 
vesa drivers gets to ~200fps (that from notes, machine is being used for "real 
work" ATM).
