Things to try: 1. Do you still have in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins a ln -s /usr/java/jre1.6.0_21/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so? If so, and you added the other link to /libjavaplugin.so, then you can remove that old direct link to /libnpjp2.so. 2. Try: yum list java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin Does it show it as installed? If so remove it, for good measure. 3. Same suggestion as Genes with respect to file "pluginreg.dat". Look for it in directory /home/your_user_name/.mozilla/firefox/xxxx.default where xxxxx stands for some profile identifier or whatever. Close all Firefox windows and either delete "pluginreg.dat" or rename it.
