No, this does not work, but this one does:

maitra  ALL=(ALL) PASSWD:ALL, 
NOPASSWD:/usr/sbin/pm-hibernate,/usr/sbin/pm-suspend

Basically, I believe that we need the PASSWD to be before the NOPASSWD case, 
since otherwise ALL trumps these commands.
