For both of those? Something must be really broken on your system.
Have you upgraded to F44 yet?
I do not think so.
I upgrade this machine from fc42 to fc44.
Every thing was fine except that after the upgrade, I could not switch from the text mode to the graphics mode using startx.
After multiple tries to fix it (playing with gnome), I never could get gnome working properly.
I already mentioned that some tentatives with gnome ended to a black screen and can only leave by restarting the machine.
After these failures, I decided to bypass the text mode by running systemctl isolate graphical.target
That way, I go directly to a black screen where I am entirely stuck. I have to restart the machine and I cannot access to the installation. This is more than annoying. I cannot make any other upgrade before this issue is fixed.
