This is not a complaint at all. Rather the opposite.

I do not know if it was thunderbird or linux input or the mouse (or X11), but 
here's the thing.

For a long while now (months) clicking a spot in thunderbird, like marking a 
message as read (or as spam), did not do the action.
Instead it was more likely to select the message so that it opened in the 
message panel.
Even selecting a mail folder did not select it on first try.

Also other mouse clicks did not do the correct thing, often.

As of recently (a week or two?) this stopped happening. Every click does 
exactly what was meant.
For me this is a great relief.

So, what was it? Anyone?
