Hello,
I do connect to aother PC via
ptyxis -- ssh -X pdupre@Homere
This has nothing to do with ptyxis. That's running locally and is just
the container for ssh.
xclock works fine, but not gparted.
I get
localuser:root being added to access control list
xhost: must be on local machine to add or remove hosts.
Error executing command as another user: No authentication agent found.
localuser:root being removed from access control list
xhost: must be on local machine to add or remove hosts.
or
sudo gparted
X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication.
(gpartedbin:64113): Gtk-WARNING **: 23:21:46.589: cannot open display:
localhost:13.0
Can I avoid the error messages and launch gparted ?
gparted runs as root, so you need to allow root from the other end to
connect by using "xhost" locally to grant permission.
