Interesting...

When I tried:

dnf install nodejs-npm

It is offering to install

nodejs22-npm           noarch 1:10.9.7-1

Should I uninstall what I did earlier and install this ver instead?

I am using an IETF tool to cover ascii txt art to svg:

https://github.com/martinthomson/aasvg

This uses the json tool npm to:

npm install -g aasvg

Now I lost my npm install process that I ran on my F41 system but the tool works just fine there.  So I went to install it on my new F44 system with:

dnf install npm

Which installed it.  But it is not producing usable svg output.

I have attached an ascii art text file and the svg output from my F41 system.  The -not svg output is what my F44 system is generating.

I checked my F41 system and installing npm actually installed nodejs-npm-1:10.9.4

on F44 it install:  nodejs24-npm-1:11.8.0

For now I can dork around with running the ascii art on the old F41 and using USB drive to move the svg to my F44 for use...

Yuck

thanks!
