Today I noticed that (presumably) thunderbird had a folder among the usual folders ('Documents','Downloads',...) when I opened dolphin in plasma 6.6.

This Thunderbird folder is empty and I see nothing entering with my usual simple mail usage. I also cannot find any reference to it in the thunderbird settings or with a (not) very detailed web search.

Does anybody have info why this folder is visible and what it's function is.

Are you referring to something other than the "~/.thuinderbird/" directory?

A picture would make all clear but a simple listing of the contents

of my home directory also suffices:

ls -a
.              .bash_profile  Desktop    .gtkrc-2.0  Pictures  .thunderbird
..             .bashrc        Documents  .local      .pki  Thunderbird
.bash_history  .cache         Downloads  .mozilla    Public  .var
.bash_logout   .config        .gnupg     Music       Templates Videos

If I start dolphin I see it sitting between Templates and Videos.
