If you haven't already, pop the cover and inspect the larger electrolytic
capacitors near the RAM and CPU for leakage and swelling. Even if you don't find
any, they might be getting too tired at 17-18 years old, and replacement could
keep you going a lot longer. While it's open, clean out any dust accumulation to
help with heat rejection. Do the same with the PSU if you're inclined.

Remove and reseat the RAM sticks. When all back together, spend an overnight
running memtest86. Not all RAM lasts forever, and your GPU is sharing system 
RAM.
