Hi All,

There is STDOUT, STDERR, and the exit code ($? in bash).
What channel is it stored in? STDEXIT?

man 2 _exit
man 2 wait

There is no IO stream involved. The child process sends the exit code
to the kernel using _exit and the parent reads it from the kernel
using wait. It's been this way since UNIX V6 in 1975.

Thank you!
