Asking the obvious question: Does it work as expected with Windows,
and the same WiFi access-point/router?
Yes it works well under Windows 11, although it is also supplied with a
Windows driver. Under Windows it runs on the 6GHz channel at 2882/2882
Mbps. Installation of the driver activates a light on the side of the
dongle. George has supplied info on a module that looks like it may be
what I'm looking for but I'm trying to figure out how to use it.
