Are you concerned with one of the drawbacks of COW mentioned in https://archive.kernel.org/oldwiki/btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/SysadminGuide.html#Copy_on_Write_.28CoW.29 ? It is usually a mistake to move away from distro defaults unless your use-case depends on the changes. Linux is a community effort, so staying with a configuration shared with many others means it is easier for the community to help if you encounter problems. -- George N. White III
