Had a Novell 4.x server that had a Duplex Raid 1 setup. Two disks on each controller, and then a separate two 9G SCSI data only disks. It also had a small FAT32 boot partition, for booting. It was not mirrored from the primary controller disk to secondary by raid. Did once have an issue with primary disks, and system ran fine with it offline, but then reboot would not boot. I was able to manually copy the fat32 partition from primary boot disk to secondary, and then it booted fine, and then the Novell rebuild the mirror on primary disk. But that was over 25 years ago. 9G SCSI drives were Big then. Old Novell 2.2 servers had 650MB SCSI drives. Don't know if this kind of issue has been resolved with newer setup? > > -- > kind regards > Marco > > Send spam to [email protected] > +------------------------------------------------------------+ Michael D.
