I'm using the upstream firefox nightly and when I issue the command

OK, is there a line where the command line starts with firefox as
there would be if you'd just started it by clicking on the icon? If
so, use kill -9 to get rid of it and see what happens.
I've just checked again having shut firefox down around 15 minutes ago
and there are no firefox threads hanging around, so maybe my original
view was just the command being issued at the wrong time.
