When Windows split the space, did it leave your second spare partition as unused free space or did it set the partition up ready for Windows to use straight away. The latter is the usual cause of this problem, the Linux installer wants free unused space. Unused by anything. An empty formatted partition doesn't meet that criteria. Simply deleting that second partition, without doing anything more than just deleting it, is usually all that you need to do. -- uname -rsvp Linux 3.10.0-1160.119.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Jun 4 14:43:51 UTC 2024 x86_64 (yes, this is the output from uname for this PC when I posted) Boilerplate: All unexpected mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted.
