No idea: I don't use borg: just wanted to verify if it has a sparse
flag.
For backing up entire partitions, switching from ext4 to btrfs is I
think far better by using "btrfs subvolume snapshot" and "btrfs send"
Agreed that BTRFS is better in many cases, though personally I haven't
experimented with the 'btrfs send' option.
I've been using it and it's very nice. There are also a few tools to
automate it as well.
