Also I do not think I am using any suffix. In fact the "domain name" is
blank because after all, this is my home lan.
Looking at "Network Setup" on the router webpage I see I have as "Local
DNS" 8.8.8.8. Maybe I should have the same address as the router
(192.160.1.1)? Could that be it?

Under "Network Address Server Settings (DHCP), I see three "Static DNS X)
entries (1,2 and 3) and they all have 0.0.0.0
Is that the "domain search list"?
