Hi All,

Fedora 41
virt-manager-5.0.0-1.fc41.noarch

When I start virt-manager, it wants the password for the user's account that I
initially created during the install of FC41.

How do I get it to ask for the root's password instead?

Many thanks,

Hi Alex,

Hmmmm. What group "libvert"?

# grep -i libvert /etc/group
<nothing>

So I manually added the group

# groupadd -r libvert

And now I get

# grep -i libvert /etc/group
libvert:x:965:

But

# usermod -a -G libvirt root

does not add root or any other the other four users I added
to the group

# grep -i libvert /etc/group
libvert:x:965:

What am I missing? Is it time for "vi"?

Yours in frustration,
-T
