Hi,
With this mornings update, when DNF tried to download
dnsmasq-0:2.90-4.fc41.x86_64 and firefox-0:134.0-1.fc41.x86_64, DNF got a 404
error from the mirror that looks to by my ISP's mirror, and after getting that
error it did not appear to try to download those packages from any other mirror
as the update of those two did not happen. I am assuming a subsequent update
will update those packages, although I don't particularly care about the
firefox package as I don't use that version anyway.
What is disconcerting about these errors is, was the 404 error produced
because no mirror contained the packages and the url in the error message is
the last mirror it tried, or is it that because I believe I have DNF configured
to use the fastest mirror, and the mirror in the error message is the mirror I
believe is the fastest mirror relative to where I am, that DNF did not try any
other mirror which in my view would be a DNF defect. I have listed below my
dnf.conf and snippet of the DNF output showing what it actually did.
I'm resending this message with the information as attachments as
embedding the messages in the mail caused the mail to be moderator held because
it was longer than 60KB.
Why are you sending or sending it here?

File a bug report.

Sure I could, if I can figure out how to do it again, but before doing that I need to determine whether or not it is a bug. Filing a bug report for something that isn't a bug is just wasting everybody's time.

regards,
Steve
