I use Evolution on KDE and always have done. Can't get my head around
Gnome, but that's another topic.

One more: good support for MS Exchange, useful to those in corporate
environments that require it. Maybe TBird has this as well, I wouldn't
know, but it's worth mentioning.

Also, the principle developer Milan Crha is very responsive to
questions and bug reports.
