Ignore what anybody says about power draw for something they sell. Measure it 
yourself. Too many factors enter into this. 

It sounds like you want to know how much power is *actually* being used. The 
meter is cheap and can be used all around the house. If you just want a formula 
then you will find that nothing applies directly to the real world. The above 
tip is to help investigate the real world.
