So, I got the folowing:

$ sudo f3probe --destructive --time-ops /dev/sde
 F3 probe 8.0
Copyright (C) 2010 Digirati Internet LTDA.
This is free software; see the source for copying conditions.

WARNING: Probing normally takes from a few seconds to 15 minutes, but
it can take longer. Please be patient.

Bad news: The device `/dev/sde' is damaged

 Device geometry:
*Usable* size: 0.00 Byte (0 blocks)
Announced size: 15.26 TB (4096000000 blocks)
                        Module: 16.00 TB (2^44 Bytes)
Approximate cache size: 0.00 Byte (0 blocks), need-reset=no
Physical block size: 4.00 KB (2^12 Bytes)

 Probe time: 128.8ms
Operation: total time / count = avg time
      Read: 0us / 0 = 0us
      Write: 127.7ms / 512 = 249us
      Reset: 0us / 0 = 0us

So, I guess this means that the USB is bad.

Thanks,
Ranjan
