And if you try the method we've been told to use for the last several years, how does that go? Edit your network configuration through NetworkManager's interface (that is, use it, don't edit any network configuration files by hand). Both IPv4 and IPv6 have an option to only get interface addresses via DHCP and you can hand-set your own DNS server address choices.
