I have a home media library currently with 4x4TB drives currently in BTRFS
RAID1.

I recently discovered two things.

1. One of my harddrives is dying
2. That you can have separate RAID settings for metadata.

So for the first I have purchased an 8TB CMR drive and plan to replace the
others with the same model over time increasing my storage capacity.

For the latter, I'm thinking since I have 4 drives, I should be running
RAID1c4 for metadata and system data for extra redundancy.

Is this a waste or worth it?

Thanks,
Richard
