Check /etc/systemd/sleep.conf
The default settings have it set to sleep as per request from Lenovo 
as I've heard to get better power rating, but totally screwed up my 
machines. I set options to no.

[Sleep]
AllowSuspend=no
AllowHibernation=no
AllowSuspendThenHibernate=no
AllowHybridSleep=no
