Assuming there are no extraneous characters on each line following the
filename, and assuming every line in the file has a filename:

sed -i 's/$/.jpg/' <your file>

Subject: OT: sed or awk command to add a file extension

Dear fellow Fedora users I have a file with entries
\input{file1}\input{file2}...\input{fileN} How can I add
extension\input{file1.eps}\input{file2.eps}.\input{file3.eps} In case I need to
add *jpg or *.png extension. I believe awk or sed would do the job. Thanks in
advance Best Regards, Antonio Sent from ProtonMail (), encrypted email based in
