I don't use this feature, but this sure sounds like the effect of the
increased security.  I think it was F37 when certain older security
protocols were made inactive because they had been compromised by
researchers. You could try 
update-crypto-policies --set LEGACY
as root to see if that fixes the issue.  If it does, then you could set
the legacy to log in and then
update-crypto-policies --set DEFAULT
to return to the increased security.  You should probably let the site
know that they are using deprecated security protocols, too.
If it doesn't work, you can check the logs after a failure,
journalctl -r
to see if there are any messages about why it is failing.
