Of course, but to be clearer: doing that with nm-online does NOT work. In my case (network boot), nm-online terminates BEFORE the default gateway is reachable. As a consequence downloading the install image (Server/x86_64/os//images/install.img) fails. My workaround is to replace nm-online by a loop waiting for the gateway to be reachable.
