Yes, I do use a Type C USB dongle. I do not use a docking station but I do use 
a connector to a HDMI video. Removing either did not solve the issue, but 
waking it up in the morning did for a while, so it has to be related to heat, 
and the fan.

Do I update these through the BIOS, I do not have Windows installed, never 
have, I believe.

But this started in earnest only yesterday.
