I have no problems with NFSv4 even with....
[root@fedora ~]# nfsidmap -d
localdomain
[root@fedora ~]# hostnamectl hostname
fedora.local
But I do have nfs-idmapd.service with "Domain = localdomain" in its
configuration file.
If I change that to "Domain = local" and restart nfs-idmapd.service I do get
[root@fedora ~]# nfsidmap -d
local
But everything works no matter what the setting
