Torque, based on the old PBS code, is very common in HPC clusters so this is a
good recommendation. It might be overkill for a single user but it is a great
tool.
Other schedulers commonly used:
SLURM: https://slurm.schedmd.com/
HTCondor: https://research.cs.wisc.edu/htcondor/
(There are others but their names evade me)
