I think that VirtualBox may be a better choice for you.
(http://www.virtualbox.org/). The non-OpenSource version of VirtualBox
does have better support for USB.
One restriction is that a 64-bit Virtualbox Host OS that does not have
VMX (AMD:SVM) enabled cannot run 64-bit guest OS.
